What is Pallet?
A pallet, sometimes inaccurately called a skid (a skid does not have any bottom deck boards), is just a|is really a flat transport structure that supports goods in a reliable fashion while being lifted with a forklift, pallet jack, front loader, work saver, and other jacking device, or perhaps a crane. A pallet may be the structural foundation of a device load allowing handling and storage efficiencies.
Goods or shipping containers in many cases are positioned on a pallet secured with strapping, stretch wrap or shrink wrap and shipped. Since its invention in the twentieth century, its use has dramatically supplanted older types of crating such as the wooden box and the wooden barrel, because it is effective with modern packaging like cardboard boxes and Intermodal containers commonly employed for bulk shipping.
